Season 55 - in Review

Written by Team Orion 365 at 21:56 5/2-2021

For Team Orion 365, Season 55 was our first full season on OCM and was a roller-coaster ride – that rare type of roller-coaster that descends very quickly at the start, is flat in the middle and has a ridiculously steep uphill at the end.

  Economy (as of day 88):
  75657$ in the bank
  The squad is worth 445911$

  Results:
  Criterium Tartu – 2nd (day 1)
  Sibiu – Sighisoara - 3rd (day 86)
  Port Moresby TT – 3rd (day 87)
Old Military Road Race – 1st (day 87)

  Tours and Cups:
Tour of the Sanreizan – Washington Lehmann was best placed in 51st at 10’21’’ off the pace
Cup of the Four Rivers – Athony Hamil was best placed in 14th with 131 points

  Manager’s Comments:
This was an interesting season for us, with some good results. Sadly, the Sanreizan didn’t work out as well as we had hoped, with Lehmann suffering a mechanical and two crashes, which ended his chances. The final few days were brilliant for us, with 3 results in three races in the space of 28 hours. The only issue with these – why couldn’t the team have been riding this well the rest of the season?

  Looking Forward:
The team hope to return to the Sanreizan this season and we are hoping Lehmann is slightly luckier this time! The team will work to focus on becoming a strong force in climbing races, with this taking centre stage for our future plans.
